DLR (Delivery Reporting)

Delivery Reporting (DLR) is a feature of SMS MT (Mobile Terminated) that reports back if an SMS message has been delivered, for every message sent. A successful DLR is as a result of a mobile acknowledging receipt of a message. Unfortunately, no message deliverer can be 100% certain that a ‘successfully delivered’ delivery receipt actually means that the message reached the user.
